# Gameplay Rules

## Lifecycle

Transfers are allowed in every state. The current owner or an approved operator may hatch.

## Minting
- Max supply: 5,000 (token IDs start at 1).
- First 3,000 mints are free.
- Remaining 2,000 cost 0.0015 BNB each.
- Mixed batches charge only the paid portion. Example: at 2,998 minted, a batch of 5 costs 3 × 0.0015 BNB.
- Wallet cap: 10 cumulative mints.
- Batch size: 1–10.
- Exact payment required; over/underpayment reverts.

## Incubation
- Fixed 24 hours from mint.
- Countdown uses chain time, not local clock alone.
- No accelerated hatching or admin skip.

## Hatching
- Batch size: 1–10.
- Caller must own or be approved for every egg.
- Every egg must be sealed and past its hatch time.
- One VRF request per batch; all eggs in the batch share the request but receive independent derived outcomes.
- Fee is estimated from the wrapper; UI adds a 20% buffer. Contract refunds unused BNB.
- Pending eggs cannot be re-requested or cancelled by the owner.

Boundaries on a 0–9999 roll: 0–6999 Common, 7000–8999 Uncommon, 9000–9799 Rare, 9800–9999 Legendary. Variant is selected within the tier. Probabilities are independent per egg; final counts are not guaranteed.

## Transfers
- ERC-721 transfers are never paused.
- Ownership changes do not reset incubation or pending requests.
- A pending request fulfills to the token, not to the requester.

## Demo mode
- 15-second incubation, local `crypto.getRandomValues`, no wallet, no BNB, no NFT.
- Clearly labeled and isolated from live collection state.
